CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Hey y’all! My name is Sophia Phillips and I am so grateful to serve as the Chapter President of Alpha Gam this year!
There really are no words to describe the impact Alpha Gam has had on me. The women around me have influenced me in so many ways, showing me what it means to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. My best friends, my big, my littles, grandlittles, advisors, fellow officers, and every single woman in this chapter are my biggest cheerleaders and it has been the biggest blessing getting to lead with them.
During recruitment, there was always something special about Alpha Gam. The energy I felt was contagious, and from the moment I stepped onto the lawn on bid day, I knew this was the place that was going to cherish me for who I was, and guide me into the woman I am today.
Coming from out of state, not knowing anyone at UGA, I was unsure of what college held for me. But I can confidently say the community I have built these past few years is truly invaluable, and I am forever indebted to Alpha Gam for giving me the space to grow surrounded by women who inspire me to be the best version of myself.
I am so proud to be a part of this amazing organization, a group of women who are compassionate leaders, go-getters, and overall, who go the extra mile in every way. From the small moments to the big ones, these are the women who truly embody our motto “Loving, Leading, and Lasting”. I know our bonds are steadfast, and they’re not just something we talk about, they’re something we live. And I am so excited to share these bonds with PC ‘26!
Serving as President has been the biggest blessing of my life, and I am so honored to lead a sisterhood as special as Alpha Gam.
